Well you will not believe what has happened over the past week. Thursday the most unexpected thing in the world happened. While I was working around 4ish the power went out and boy did it ever. From New York to Ohio to Michigan to Canada it was a black out. Unbelievable. Blackout 2003 soon to be titled to out the power of 50 million people spanning over a 26 hour period, by far the largest US blackout ever in history. Oh and this blackout was so much more than just that. Previous to that day I met a girl online through LiveJournal itself and we had spontaneously exchanged phone numbers. Before the anything happened again I was talkng to her online at work. Then the blackout hit and damn was it ever dark and since nothing worked included cell phones I couldnt get ahold of any of my family or anyone so I pulled out my phone sat back down in my completely darked out office scrolled down my phone book to ‘Tiffany (internet)’ thought to myself I could call her b/c she doesnt live in this area so I just looked at the number and kept debating over whether I should call it. So I just was like screw it I’m gonna call so I picked up my work phone whick was analog and dialed the digits. The first time no answer and I neglected to leave a message so 10 minutes later I called back and proceeded to leave a message but she picked up, I was like oh shit no way! And from there on out we talked and talked while I sat in the pitch dark her sweet voice just kept talking. As for later that night I had to work late to take care of the network and other vital computer information pieces and then I drove over my cousin b/c none of the lights worked and that was probably as far as I could get. Nick and I and his friends then went for one of the longest and most craziest bike rides ever. We started in Clinton Twp went south to a 7-11 where they gave us free ice cream b/c no power to keep them cool and then we road into Mt Clemens and all around downtown Clem. One our way back b/c it was just so damn hot we found a random APT pool that we used to cool off in then back to Nick’s. By far Thursday was one of the most amazing and awesomest days of my life. It’s a book within itself. As for Friday through Sunday I went camping with Rachel, Shawn, Jen, Matt, Jason, Justin, Devon, Ron, and Greg. We had a good time, spent all day Saturday canoeing. A very fun weekend. As for today we were home by 1 and I just unpacked. Oh but on the way home I decided to pick up a web cam so that I could video conference with Tiffany. Did we ever connect. Ya know I really haven’t thought about anyone like this since Sarah, and actually I’m loving every minute. We just talked for hours on end just about the whole day. I can’t believe how well we agreed on topics and thoughts and knew what we were thinking. Yet there’s always something, 1,191.9 miles that is. She lives in the beautiful Orlando, Florida as I reside myself in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Yes a distance most look as impossible, but ya know what I’d like to think different about the distance. I dunno?! I’ve never been in any relationship like this and honestly is it possible? I don’t know, but for now what I do know is that I did meet an awesome sweet gal that I will continue to talk to and get to know. She’s truely unique and I’m liking everything about her. I hope that I havent become crazy or anything I mean lets put this into a perspective. I met a girl online, 1191.9 miles away, whom I’ve known for 5 days, and I’ve more than connected to her, hmm. I guess it may sound ridiculous, but I haven’t been this happy in so long and I think it’s only going to get better!! Anyways tomorrow I have my final exam in Calc 2 which I need to pass with a reassuring 75.33% for a passing grade, pathetic, I know, but I will make it through, eventually. Well I think you’ve had enough of my life and I’m so ready to catch up on some sleep so til then, have a good week.
